The Golden Gate Angling & Casting Club offers a wide variety of programs, lessons, and social events to anyone interested in casting as a sport and/or fly fishing. Located in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, our 1930's era lodge and casting ponds create an amazing backdrop to enjoy these activities. The world-famous casting ponds are the center-piece of our club and you will find members and non-members practicing their casts, or just enjoying the location on just about any day of the year.

Our club members enjoy a wide variety of activities including:

• Fly casting lessons, including spey casting
• A 3 year "Learn To Fly Fish" program, as well as a variety of skills building events
• Club organized fishing trips (aka "Rondy's")
• Tournament casting competitions, both local competitions, as well as hosting national and international competitions
• Rod building and fly tying programs
• Women's, youth, and veteran's centric programs
• Social events, barbeques, and featured speakers on environmental, preservation, history, and many other topics

Eligibility

Any person evidencing an interest in casting as a sport or in fly fishing is may apply for membership.

Membership

Annual dues: Individual members pay $50 per year per person. A Family membership is available at $70 per year. Junior membership dues are $10 for persons 18 years or younger. Membership runs for one year starting upon the date you join. (Note: members who joined prior to November 1, 2025 have a join date of January 1.)
