Rondy: 2 Day Upper Klamath River Steelhead Float Trip
Dates: November 3 and 4, 2023
Leader: Brad Bradford mailto:email@example.com
Number of anglers (including leader): 8
Description: The Upper Klamath River (above Happy Camp) has several floating opportunities ranging from high dessert to forested mountain canyons. We will be fishing for steelhead on two of those floats. The conditions at the time of the trip will determine which ones we take.
We will mostly fish with nymphs and/or egg patterns under indicators with, maybe, some swinging using 2 handed rods. The guides will provide rods, flies, beverages, snacks and lunch. Anglers will need waders and boots (no studs please) along with weather appropriate clothing. You MUST have a current fishing license and STEELHEAD card.
This Rondy will require 2-3 nights lodging near the river. Yreka is recommended as it has several lodging options and is under 1 hour from the river. The Holiday Inn Express which has a decent breakfast is recommended.
Suggested Gear: If you want to use your own equipment a 6-7 weight system is recommended. Note that the weather can be very cold, bring multi-layers and good rain gear.
Cost: The fee for this Rondy is $675
Other expenses will be guide gratuities, transportation, food and lodging.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. In the event that a member is, for any reason, unable to attend, he may resell his slot (rod) to another GGACC member (by first pulling from the waitlist if one exists). It is the sole responsibility of the member to manage this transaction. This is not the responsibility of the leader or club.
