On August 10-14, 2022, the US Casting Team will be participating in the World Championship of Fly Casting at Gaustabikk, Norway.
The 11 participants are from the Golden Gate Club, Oakland Club, the Long Beach Club, and the Cincinnati Club. Expectations are high for the medal count as the US Team competes as follows:
Chris Korich, defending Men Division Gold medal in 5wt Accuracy event, is participating in the Veteran Division, and is the Coach for 2022 USA Team.
Maxine McCormick, will be defending the Women Division 5wt Accuracy event
Donna O’Sullivan, bronze medal in 16” Spey Distance
Larry Allen, Veterans Division gold medal in 4 events
Glenn McCormick, bronze medal for 5wt Accuracy event
Henry Mittel, American Casting Association National Champion
Whitney Gould, Spey-O-Rama – record holder longest women cast
Audrey Wilson, has been training for 5wt Accuracy, Trout Distance and Sea Trout Distance
Glen Ozawa, won several awards at the Northwestern SF events--training 5wt accuracy
Zack, Wohl, training for the 2-handed salmon distance and 5wt accuracy, and distance
Pam Peters, with National and World participant awards, is training for 5wt accuracy and distance
