Fly Fishing Skill Building -- Knot Tying

NOTE:  This month's Skill Building Program is on the 3rd Saturday of August since the Anglers Lodge and Casting Ponds are closed on the 2nd Saturday due to the Outside Lands Music Festival that weekend.   

Cost:  free.  This event is open to the public to register. 

This Skills Building program is designed to enhance one's practical knowledge of the sport and to assist all fly fishers wishing to become more successful when out on the lakes and streams. Varying topics are presented by an experienced fly fisher with extensive knowledge about the specific topic.  

Unless there will be no program offered in a particular month, this event is typically held on the 2nd Saturday of each month following the free public casting lessons that month. Attendance may be limited to the maximum seating available for a particular program, so please register in advance of the event. 

In this August 17th class (on the 3rd Saturday this month), GGACC Board member and Learn to Fly Fish (LTFF) program director John Murphy will provide interactive and useful instruction in Knot-Tying for Fly Fishing.  Besides covering some of the basic knots every beginner should know, we will also work on a few good knots which you may not yet know. Class size will be limited in order to provide the necessary personal assistance, so you may need to register early for this popular class.

All participants are requested to register for this event beforehand (whether or not there is any limit shown on the registration for this event) in order to gauge the expected size of the audience.
