REGISTRATION HAS REACHED THE MINIMUM LIMIT REQUIRED FOR THIS RONDY. ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED SHOULD SIGN THE WAIT LIST SINCE IT MIGHT BE POSSIBLE TO ACCOMMODATE OTHERS IF MORE GUIDES ARE AVAILABLE.
This will be the third Green River Rondy offered in 2017.
The Green River is considered one of the best tailwater fisheries in North America. This world class fishery is home to Browns, Rainbows, Cutthroats and Cut-bow Hybrid Trout. It is estimated to have as many as 15,000 fish per mile in some of the upper tailwater sections of this river.
We will float the three sections of the river (A, B, & C) and camp overnight in remote sites in sections B & C. We will take eight experienced anglers in four boats with guides. There will be an additional guide that rows everyone's gear and equipment to the campsite and has everything set up and the dinner ready when we arrive each evening.
The guides provide everything (i.e., food, water, ice, tents, sleeping pads, etc.) EXCEPT pillows, sleeping bags, personal items, liquor, fly rods, and fishing license. They will provide leaders, tippet, and flies. Bring a dry bag to hold your pillow, sleeping bag, clothes, and any other items that you need transported from camp to camp in the gear boat. Men will be sharing tents; single women will get their own tent.
This will be primarily a float fishing trip, but will include some evening opportunities for wading. So you may wish to bring waders and boots.
This Rondy is for experienced anglers ONLY and is NOT for current participants in the Learn to Fly Fish Program or other beginners.
Most will fly into Salt Lake City, carpool to Dutch John, and stay at a motel there on Friday, July 28. After the Rondy is over, we will stay a 2nd night at the motel and fly home on Tuesday, August 1st. There will be a pre-meeting on Sat., Feb. 11, from 10:00 to 12:00 to discuss gear, logistics, etc.
The registration fee for this Rondy is $1,225, which includes the Outfitter's fee plus a non-refundable $25 Rondy fee. Please note that a refund for the Outfitter's fee is only possible if you/we can find a replacement for you. Your other costs include a UT fishing license, state taxes, travel, motels, meals off river, and guide tips. The required $80 state tax to be paid to the club treasurer can be paid online at this link:
