This will be a two-day Rondy at Baum Lake for 9 anglers on March 8-9, 2016. This is a premier fly fishing lake for trout. There is very little wading and anglers must have your own watercraft (e.g., float tube, pontoon boat, or kayak). Note: A good anchor is also needed since there is a fairly strong current in this small lake (which is really just a wide spot on Hat Creek).
Basic fly fishing skills are required. Not for the participants of the "Learn to Fly Fish" program or beginners.
Suggested gear: 5wt single hand fly rod with floating and/or intermediate line and sink tips. It is still likely to be cold and possibly rainy, so bring multiple layers and good rain gear.
We will be staying in Burney at a local motel. Gear & logistics will be discussed at the pre-meeting in the clubhouse 2/13 at 2:30 PM.
The fee for this Rondy is $10. Other expenses will include the cost of the motel and all food.
