This will be a guided two-day Rondy at Pyramid Lake, Nevada. We will be fishing for big Lahontan cutthroat trout, while guided by Rob Anderson. We will be primarily fishing from ladders, which are provided and placed by Rob. There is an opportunity to do some wade fishing too. This rondy will be limited to 12 people.
The gear required is:
Nymphing--5-6 wt single handed fly rods, with floating lines.
Streamers--7-8 wt single handed fly rods with shooting heads.
We will be staying at a Reno, NV hotel (special rates) and car-pooling from there to the lake. Breakfast & lunch are provided.
Basic fly fishing skills are required. This is not for people in the Learn To Fly Fish Program or beginners.
The expenses for the trip include a $190 fee, a small tribal fishing permit fee and the cost of the hotel.
There is a clinic scheduled for 12:30pm, Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the clubhouse. Everyone going on the Rondy should plan to attend. To sign up, go the the March calendar on the club website & click on Pyramid Lake--follow the directions.
