Fellow GGACC Members -
My name is Thom Jaquysh and I have been asked by the GGACC Board to coordinate the pond cleaning efforts this year scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2015. I recognize that the previous members who have taken on this task wear very large wading boots, I can only hope that our efforts this year will make them proud of what they started.

Please consider giving the GGACC a few hours of your time. In return, we will feed you coffee and breakfast, give you a broom or a shovel, give you the use of a fine wheelbarrow or maybe you'd like to be part of the hose crew. We will break for a delicious lunch and then finish the job. I know that in the past we've been done by 12:30 PM or so, and we may well finish by then this year. However, since we didn't have a pond cleaning last year, there is probably more debris buildup and therefore it may take a bit longer. That being said, having a large motivated crew with the right tools to do the job and a nice meal waiting may mean we can get it done sooner rather than later. All you need to bring is your waders or a pair of rubber boots.

We will need 30 folks who can commit to getting it done. We will have a crew from SF Rec. & Park to help us as well. SF Rec. & Park will also coordinate removing any aquatic growth that has gotten its foothold in the ponds and repairing any cracks in the concrete. They will also be coordinating the repainting of the lines in the center pond and re-stenciling the numbers along the pond's edge.

I hope that you will consider coming out to help get the ponds clean, not only for the upcoming Spey-O-Rama April 17 - 19, but also for our members and guests. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Monday March 30th from 7:30 AM til mid- afternoon.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Thom Jaquysh
