Rondy: Pit River Walk & Wade
Dates: May 19-21, 2018
Leader: Ryan Stahl, (530) 908-4198, firstname.lastname@example.org
Number of anglers: 4
Description: Camp, walk, and wade the infamous Pit River, a great wild trout fishery. (It's tough, but not as tough as the rumors make it out to be.) We'll focus on Pit 3, but may see action down to Pit 4 and 5 flows permitting. Please note the following: (1) This Rondy is unguided (although Ryan will take you out to various locations on the river for each fishing session and make recommendations on flies and fishing techniques). (2) You need to be ready for some tough wading in which we'll cover a lot of water and get a bit beat up. (3) We'll be camping at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park and you MUST camp with the group to go on this Rondy. Communication in the area is spotty, and coordinating meeting locations is not possible outside of the campground.
Suggested Gear: 5 wt single handed fly rods, with floating lines. If you'd like to nymph, then bring a 4 wt 10 footer if you have it. A more complete gear list - including fly recommendations - will be emailed to registrants separately.
Cost: The fee for this Rondy is $50.00.
Other expenses will include some meals/food for camping
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. In the event that a member is, for any reason, unable to attend, he may resell his slot (rod) to another GGACC member (by first pulling from the waitlist if one exists). It is the sole responsibility of the member to manage this transaction. This is not the responsibility of the leader or club.
