Shad Rondy June 5-6 for Experienced Spey Casters

This two-day trip is intended for 12 experienced SPEY casters. We will fish the Sacramento River Sunday afternoon/evening, camp out on the sandbar overnight and fish Monday morning. This will provide an excellent window for the best fishing. Basic Spey casting skill required.

We will meet in Hamilton city at the Irving Finch boat launch(http://www.dbw.ca.gov/maps/facilityinfo.asp?facilityID=974). Pay the overnight camping fee for parking! Boats will depart at 12 PM on Sunday. Dinner & breakfast will be served on the river. We will return to the parking lot at about 2-3 PM on Monday.

Gear--bring any spey rod with "sink tips in various sink rates(intermediate, type 3, 6 & 8)". Six foot leaders of 10# or stronger Maxima.

Camping-The boats will take us to the sandbar in the afternoon. You will NOT have access to your vehicles. There are no facilities on the sandbar! Travel light--a small tent, with rain fly, sleeping bag & pad, flashlight, toiletries, a small trowel and TP. Two guides(Orland Outfitters) will be sleeping with us on the sandbar. 

Fish until dark, get up at first light, fish again!!
