Spey -- Longer Lines

  • 19 Dec 2015
  • 9:00 AM - 3:45 PM
  • GGACC Angler's Lodge & Casting Ponds

Cost:  Free    Enrollment:  Limited to max. 5 per session

Spey Casting Prerequisite:  To qualify for these Spey sessions, must be able to Spey cast a forward loop with straight top leg.

Goal:  Move to the next level of Spey casting by unlocking the glorious mystery of longer lines --with both floating and sinking tips.  A longer head Spey line reduces or eliminates stripping in and gets your fly fishing more quickly than Skagit or Scandi heads.

If you don't have your own longer belly line, the club has a full set of Ballistic Vector longer belly lines that mate perfectly with the club's Spey rods. This is a terrific opportunity to improve your casting (and fishing!) skills, and this is also a good lead-in to Victor Yee's Spey-O-Rama competitor training sessions.

Morning Session:  9:00 to 11:45 am

Afternoon Session:  1:00 to 3:45 pm
