The World Championship of Spey Casting April 21- 23


Below is the 2017 schedule:

Friday, April 21st:
7:30am: Breakfast free to competitors, $5 for everyone else 

9:00am: Exhibitors will begin setting up by the West Pond 

9:00am- 2:00pm: Registration and sign in for all competitors 

10:15am: Competitors meeting with Head Judge Glen Nagumo on the front lawn 

12:30pm - 1:30pm: Lunch is free to competitors and $10 for everyone else

5:00pm - 7:00pm: A talk and snacks Sponsored by Lost Coast Outfitters and Western Rivers Conservancy

Ponds: All ponds are open for practice commencing at 9:00am. A "roped off" portion of the West Pond is restricted for use by exhibitors

Saturday, April 22nd:
7:30am: Breakfast free to competitors, $5 for everyone else 

8:15am: Competitors meeting with Head Judge Glen Nagumo on the front lawn 

8:30am - 1:00pm: Spey Casting Competition qualifying rounds

9:00am - 4:00pm: Exhibitors displaying and demonstrating equipment by the West Pond 

10:00am: Silent Auction opens

12:30pm - 1:30pm: Lunch Sponsored by Lost Coast Outfitters is free to competitors and $10 for everyone else

1:30pm - 2:30pm: Center Pond - Casting and Technical Presentation, Spey Casting - Breaking Down the Essential Mechanics, by Jeff Putnam

2:30pm: Presentation inside the Angler's Lodge by Travis Johnson, Spey Casting from Beginning to Present

3:30pm: Center Pond - Casting Demonstration, Travis Johnson

4:30pm: Competitors "feedback" meeting with SOR Chair and Head Judge 

6:30pm: Dinner, sponsored by Temple Fork Outfitters is free to competitors, $25 for everyone else


Sunday, April 23rd:
7:30am: Breakfast free to competitors, $5 for everyone else 

8:30am: Competitors meeting with Head Judge Glen Nagumo 

9:45am: Introduction of competitors by Master of Ceremonies 

9:00am-12:00pm: International Spey Casting Championship Finals 

12:00pm: Awards Ceremony 

1:00pm: Silent Auction closes 

Lunch: Sponsored by Ballistic Flylines and will be served immediately following the Awards Ceremony. Free to competitors, $10 for everyone else.
